Hey Jim, How about a "power buy" on Simrek Corp. Halo Max Drive shower, for bravo outdrives. It seems if you buy in quantities the price is lower. So come on guys and gals, is there interest for them.

Umm. I don't think I want to know about your "drive's" personal hygiene habits.

I spoke to Paul today at Simrek..if we get to ten total we get the low price (139.95) and free shipping...i will buy one..to get the deal we must hit 10 total units and we have to place the order with him via phone..just need 9 more!!!!

Sorry for my ignorance.
I know that it is for cooling the drive oil and upper gear components. While on plane the upper part of leg is out of water so heat is built there. And I have no problem of overheating or missing drive oil and any damage to the upper gear components.
I googled drive shower for Volvo Penta and found none.
Is it only for Mercruiser?
And Volvo Penta legs don't need it since the exhaust of Merc legs discharges seawater at transom and Vp discharges at aft end of cavitation plate via the hose came from transom through the uppercase of the leg?

From what I have been told the drive showers are more for Bravo 1, 2 or 3 Drives as they tend to heat up more. I considered getting them for no particular reason other than prevention (the cooler the better I say) and my mechanic told me unless you are running up and down the lake on plane at high RPMs for prolonged periods these are not really needed. Then I kind of lost interest when I started thinking about keeping the tubing clean and growth-free that delivers the water to the top of the drive. I guess for a trailered boat it would not be an issue. I would think salt water would be even worse.

Ok. got it thanks.

I'm in for one...Been wanting to get one for some time now. How will he handle the billing / shipping. Thanks

I think we're at 7. Three more.

Bugsy, does your boat run that flat like in the pic of your boat, or is it just hitting a wave and setteling back in? Or do you run tabs full down? Just curious.

Tabs are up, my drives are fully down! I was going WOT and the Sea was flat Calm.

Shouldn't you raise the drive a few degrees up like +2+3 ?

I like the way it looks rather than the usual stern digging in stance. Seems it would be more fuel efficient. I know you said WOT! haha
That said, I would think it is better to run the drives level, so as to minimize the wear on the gimbal joint and bearings.
Do you get any bow steer running it like that?

Dang it derailing my own Thread! haha

I will take 2, I had one (different kind) on my 260. I do like to go fast, so better to be safe than sorry. I am assuming these are universal and will fit my 2002 BIII drives.
