There are 4 panels on the newer 340's that will vibrate incessantly while playing music with bass if they are not re-mounted in some way. They are all in the cockpit and in the following locations:

1) Behind transom door when open
2) Same spot on opposite side (lift hatch to locate)
3) Immediately opposite #2 above on back of seats
4) Just aft of #3 above.

They are all flimsy plastic covers to access panel that are screwed in directly next to fiberglass/gel/plastic. They block the movement of air which works opposite a subwoofer. If you have air moving in any of these compartments due to a subwoofer, the panel will vibrate and create poor sound. You may not hear the vibration as an independent sound due to the volume created by the sub, but the subwoofer sound quality will be poor.

They are quite easy to remove. I removed each one and lined the panel with 1/8" non-porous, dense foam (comes in rolls - found at Ace Hardware for $3.95 for about 15'). Then, I re-installed them. The subs sound much, much, much purer now.

Panels #2, 3, 4. Speaker wire is temporary routing to second sub under seat:
