I was so tired of winter that I just had to get up to the boat and out on the water.

I feel your pain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PGH here, when I retire = winter in FL for sure!

Nice picture!

Boy, those must be some well made docks!

Man, that's some unique docks and boat storage setup. I didn't know they have space issue on land at marinas. But, that's one interesting picture...LOL.

I am always amazed at the strength of these docks too.
We actually had taken a trip to Ottawa, Canada for the weekend to check out the Rideau canal...
ice skating and Winterlude during the month of February.
On the way home, we stopped to check out the boat.
I am posting/sharing through my Facebook,
SeaRay Club friends if you want to see all the pics!! Easier than uploading here!
This shot of me is walking down the dock towards covered docks at our marina. Great Docks and strong building for sure!!
Gotta be made to last up here!

Joe, how do they get them in there? Do they use an overhead crane/trolley on those I-beams?

We don't live here!! We live in Pennsylvania and got tons of snow! Canada had none. New York, where the boat is in the 1000 Islands got some snow...
It's cold everywhere in february - even Florida I think :)

They use a gantry crane and they pick the boats up and slide against each other pretty tight so that they can store more boats in the winter than they do in summer.

They bring the beams that go underneath with a small barge and then lift them between the stringers.
It is amazing to watch.

There are several 50+ boats that they cannot lift. The wt. limit is somewhere around 40 thousand.

I believe I bought my 260 from your dealership in 2005. New. Since then, we decided we needed a floating condo, hence we bought the bigger boat.

It does look like a pretty slick set-up, there.

Ted says "hello"! :smt001

The dealership was great, when I sold it 3 years later I didn't lose much money at all. They delivered it all the way to Lake Ontario and then came up to make a minor repair for us! That is commitment :)
In fact, when I called them, they gave me an unbelievable price, no bull****. A great dealership. I know you don't sell boats this big, but next year we may be in the market for a 480 or bigger?! ha. We can dream, can't we?

A couple shots from our recent trip to Ottawa. First of the folks skating on the frozen canal with the parliment and city in the background. The course is 7.8 km and proudly we did the entire thing 2x.

Here is a step lock on the Rideau, waiting for the big thaw. :) The Ottawa river is frozen in the background. We hope to have our boat on this canal this summer.

Thank you, Joe! I'll be sure to pass along your nice words to rest of the guys. :smt001

That's pretty cool - skating right down the center of the city! Looks like fun!
