Shredded serpentine belt...again

If everything is moving freely it is most likely caused by a pulley that is either wobbling or out of alignment.

+1 , I bought my boat and noticed the pump pulley way out of alignment. surveyor was surprised the belt stayed on. turned out the last person to service it pressed the pulley on too far.

Wow....didn't realize that could happen. Wondering how that's possible?
