Shower sump

I purchased a 1993 330 sundancer this year. The float switch on the shower sump isn't "floating" and therefore not switching on the pump. The switch seems to stick...if I tap on it the swith will float and turn on the pump then stick and the pump keeps running. Any suggesions?

It's just a Rule float switch. Available everywhere, even Wal-Mart

Have you cleaned your sump and float switch? Scum will clog things up and its one of those out of sight - out of mind things we frequently forget needs maintenance.

Recently replaced ours. Someone had installed an automatic pump, which came on every 2 minutes, if it found water it pumped it out, if not it shut off.

I was not a fan of this. Rebuilt the sump box and added a Rule pump with a float. Works like a charm now.
