Shower sump on 1992 290 Sundancer

Hi All,

Hadn't been down to the boat in a couple of weeks.......found the aft cabin floor wet. Checked sump under berth and found about 8" of water. It's a Rule 800, and go figure it had failed. My question is, this sump area if for the shower and a deck drain on the cabin steps only? With camper canvas up the boat is vertually weatherproof. Have never used the shower, so where did all this water come from?

The AC condensate drain also terminates there. Was the AC on during this time?

I've got an '84 Sundancer and have the same problem. Not familar with your model but mine is coming from the fresh water tank under the floor just forward from the shower sump. From my post in the general maintenance section, does not appear to be an easy fix. But nothing every seems easy with these boats.

Thanks for the AC tip........sure enough it is condensate.....gotta change pump
