Can anyone tell me what switches, if any, need to be on to power the little bilge pump for the shower in my 90 310 DA?

This weekend I was testing the float switch and couldn't get it to work. I want to make sure I have every switch in the right position before I start looking for power at the pump. More because the IPO was more concerned with his stereo and had a bad habit of pulling wires and switches instead of making sure what he was doing would work, I'm in the process of correcting his errant processes now. Amazing what a voltage tester will tell you.
Thanks

No switches on my '95-290 except maybe the battery switches. I dont recall if I've tested to see if it was tied directly to the batteries like the bilge pumps.

Same here. As long as the batteries are on the float switch will activate the pump.

Thanks. I was hoping it was that simple. Time to start tracing wires and looking for power.

Is this for the shower sump? If so, there may be a fuse near the sump.

Is there something on the breaker panel near the battery switches? I don't know, but something to check.

Yup it's for the shower sump. Said bilge pump on the side. :)
Tomorrow I'll pop the top and see if I can spy any fuses. That wouldn't be new for this boat, the PO had 30 blown fuses in the head from trying to force the electric head to work, so instead of a $20 problem it turned into a $300 issue.
I'll report back what I find

My '05 shower sump unit needed a full disassembly & cleaning to get it working this year- thought I had a power problem but just had slime limiting the float switch range.
