First boat with shore power 2000 270 sundancer and I'm having trouble with getting the radio to work on shore power or the lights. I can get the radio to work when the engines are off but as soon as I turn the battery switches off and switch to shore power it cuts out. The volt meter and everything show correctly I just don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I tried putting the full enclosure up last night but it's a little more difficult than I thought I believe I have the bimini frame pulls set wrong because the side and bow pieces are about 8" to high on both sides.

Where do you store the aft table? I thought it went in the engine compartment but couldn't find any latches or anything to hold it in place

Thanks again for your help it's much appreciated:thumbsup:

The radio and light operate on 12v (batteries). Shore power will keep the batteries charged as long as your breaker for the charger is turned on.

As Sean noted, battery switches have to remain on to run the 12v systems on the boat such as the radio and lights but keeping connected to shore power keeps those charged. I never found a reason to shut my battery switches off when I'm shore power.

Enclosures with bimini poles can be a PITA!! But 8 inches apart seems like an awful lot. Are your bows adjustable? Start with your front windsheild piece. Don't be afraid to pull down on the bimini after zipping part of the front piece to it to get to the point where you can snap it. It will likely be tight. Then work your way back along the sides. If your poles aren't adjustable then unless its never been used before it ought to fit with some muscle. Don't expect it to just lay right where you have to snap. You will have to pull!

The camper top and side enclosures have never been used in 10 years and they are the cleanest thing on the boat. The previous owner wasn't a very clean individual but it's getting there.

On the control panel what does the A/C converter switch due?

On the back most poles of the bimini there might be several holes for the button latch. I know on mine it works best to release the button latch on the back poles and let the back of the top go up so I can get the front panels on and get the side panels started. Once on pull down on the back of the bimini to lock in place and finish with the sides.

My original table/sunpad did not have anywhere to store it other than the rear berth. I got a table that folds and now keep it in the hanging locker. don't need or use the sunpad feature. Different years so not sure if yours is the same.
