Shore power configuration

Your breaker that you are connected to will determine how many amps are able to be fed to the line. If the wire/cord is sized too small or loose or dirty connections will cause heat or worse. If you want to run off a 50 amp breaker you should change the plug on the boat to a 50a plug and use a 50a cord. You can then split the 2 30s off the 2 lines from the 50a plug. Running a 50a breaker to a 30a plug will be dangerous.
