when plugged into shore power, do the solenoids need to be left in the on position to charge the batterys or would having the ac converter switch "on" accomplish the same result?
can the solenoids be damaged by being left on continually?
When we purchased the boat, the dealer said to just leave the solenoids on all the time. It's convienent to have lighting down below at night if we visit the boat, but that's the only advantage I have found.

Don't need battery switches on. AC converter on works. Leave it on all of the time. We leave the battery switches and AC converter on full time. It cycles the batteries.

Hampton,

If you leave your batteries solenoids on all the time do you ever burn out the little LED lights on the switch?

When I'm not on the boat. I always turn my solenoids swithes off. I only leave the A/C converter on and the two refrigerators in the on positon.
