Shipping Help Needed Quick!!!

I need help with shipping the new cruiser. The long and the short of the story are this:

(I thought) I had shipping of my new boat setup. Haul and float of my 2008 290 Sundancer was setup from selling dealer in Alexander City, AL to Knoxville, TN. Delivery is to be on March 1st. Pick up is somewhat flexible on or before the 1st. Due to communications issues, the shipping was not confirmed (though, by everything I knew, it was). Either way, I am now scrambling to find a hauler for that date. If anyone out there is a hauler or knows someone that will haul and float my 290DA please contact me ASAP.

I know what it was going to cost me for this shipping and floating ($850). This deal is still available - a week later. I planned the delivery around slip availability and my time off from work and now it may fall through.

Needless to say, if someone is looking for a load this weekend/early next week and can do it for this price, please PM me. The price is firm, as I can just wait a week and get it. I don't want to, but I may have to. Thanks.

Matt. I called 10 trucking friends and none of them are any wheres near there.

I'll call around tomorrow and we'll see what happens. :smt001

Call Loretta at Bill Joule Marine trucking. They are in FLA but have trucks all over the country. I used them to ship my 320 from Lake of Ozarks to upstate NY. Terrific company !!

Thanks again. I really appreciate the effort. It just goes to show the camaraderie in the boating community and on this site. I did call the shipper that was originally contacted and went ahead and finalized 6 days later. With the gas price spikes that are occurring as we speak, I figured it would be best to go with him, since he will do it for the same price as the original quote. I figured it best just to wait the extra 6 days for the same quote.

Thanks. I saw this too late. I have already confirmed with the other shipper. Thank you for the advice.

A couple of pics were taken yesterday at the launching (at dusk). I was putting up canvas and stowing things for a few hours today. Tomorrow, we will be out on it and more pics will be taken. I'll be posting them by the end of the week. Stay tuned!
