Have not logged in for months. Moved to Oahu and trying to figure out how to get my boat here. I've e-mailed Searay but if anyone has done this please reply.

You will have to truck it to SoCal then ship to Hawaii. You can get bids from UShip.com and the overseas shipping from Pashahawaii.com. Top of my head you are looking at $30K to $40K to do this. I may be wrong but it is not cheap. Get some quotes and you may be able to find a "decent" price.

Friend of mine sold his old Bertram to a person in New Zeeland. It was put into a shipping container and rode over on top of a container ship. No idea what it cost and the buyer paid the tab.

The 320 can be lashed to a 40' platform container. But because it is over 8' wide it will have to go on a top stow.

For interstate shipping between locations in the US you are limited to a US carrier. For service between Hawaii and the mainland, there is Matson Navigation and Horizon Lines. There may also be a barge service offered by Crowley. I do not think this will be over the top as there are a ton of pleasure boats in the islands and it is too far for most of them to go under their own power. A typical 40' container shipment is on the order of US $ 5000. That being said my guess is that there may be a number of small barge operators who bring in over size stuff like construction equipment and and boats. These guys are probably the best bet.

Congrats on the move! Especially this winter....again. What are the marinas like over there? I read a few years ago a lot of them were in disrepair.

Best I can do is give you an idea for transport to NZ of a 2006 340DA = US $'s

$23,950 shipping
$2,550 for a cradle
$1,200 crane lift on and off.

Ins all risk cover = 1.5% of declared value.

There is a considerable saving on purchase price for me buying in the US, I have to take into consideration the obvious shipping and handeling costs but also conversion from 110-220 volts etc.

Hope this helps
