If anyone is watching.....Ship shape is in Merrit Island testing a Sea Ray 320DA....and giving some docking tips....

Saw it this morning before work. I love watching that show for the boats, and this one was no exception, but I wish they had a little more substance and less advertising in the 30 minute period. While most of the stuff they show is all new to me (i.e., fabrication), it just seems a little too dumbed down. Great concept, however.

:smt089 I have my DVR set to record Ship Shape and it did not pick it up. I did a search and found Ship Shape Classics so I guess it was under a different name :smt017 What name did you dvr pick it under?

Ship Shape, I have it set to record the series (new episodes). Did not really understand the whole pivot thing; to me it seems if you have a current from your backside when he pivoted the boat (without being attached to the dock) the current would push you into the boat anyway. I thought I had always read that you do that while still attached to the dock.

I did like the explaination about the throttles and if you follow the shape of them it will let you know how the boat will react to gear movements. Not that I plan to own any boat with two gear shifters still was good information.

Same as Wesley here... Just Ship Shape. Although I record all episodes since I have not seen a lot of them.

We don't get ship shape TV here anylonger. The cable network moved it to the digital area and I don't get that. :smt089

Ship Shape is now on the Fox Sports Network if you have it in your area. While up late one night (2:00AM) I found a show on the Outdoor channel called "Pleasure Boater." I set the DVR to tape that. The last few episodes have taken place from the Annapolis MD boat show and/or the St. Petersburg FL boat show. Alot of helpful hints including weekly tips on detailing your boat. Another show on that network is the Canadian based Powerboat TV. It has maintenance tips for a 4 stroke among other features. They also have a show called Personal Watercraft television but I have not watched it. These shows all seem to be late at night or during a weekday when I am at work. I like Ship Shape but also like pleasure boater and Powerboat TV. A little variety! I LOVE DVR!!Checkout this websites for your local listings http://www.outdoorchannel.com/showinfo.cfm?site=1&ShowType=Water% , 20Sportshttp://www.powerboattv.com , http://www.masterstv.com , http://www.pwctv.com

Yeah... I have been watching Pleasure Boater for awhile also... Saw the Annapolis shows... Not too bad. Port O' Call must have finished it's season as I haven't seen it for awhile...

Me and Mr. G at the Miami Boat Show!
