I recently had the port shifter cable adjusted as a result of stretching (07 280 DA T 4.3's/A1's w/680hrs). The adjustment made engagement into reverse much better, but now the engine stumbles and dies when transitioning from F or R into nuetral, especially when i really need to go F-N-R in rapid succession (crabbing into a doc, ect.) My mechanic told me it was posible a "neutral switch" or something similar causing the problem. Has anyone else dealt with this?

I had the same problem when I purchased my 250. It would stall going into gear either way. It's my understanding that once it's stretched, you have to replace. I did and works great now. I also thought it was the shift interupter switch but that wasn't the case. I think you'll have to replace the lower cable.
