She's For Sale

I listed our Sundancer with a local broker today. After 4 summers we are ready to move to something bigger. The Admiral wants out of the hole and into the light so we will be looking for a sedan.

I thought I would feel worse about putting her up for sale but surprisingly, I don't. Actually I think I am a pretty lucky guy to have a wife that says, "Honey, let's find a bigger boat."

The first step is to sell it then we can start looking and we all know there is lots to choose from.

If you have never driven a bridge only boat in rough water be sure to sea trial a few before picking one .I loved to be at the helm of my flybridge 40,but many times a second helm would have saved the day.

I assume with your redone interior, you should be able to move to the "dark side" of bridge boating quickly....

Thanks Gary. In this market...who knows? As I was answering all the questions about the boat for the broker I was thinking to myself that this is a pretty nice old boat with a lot of upgrades besides the interior.

But as I said, Sundancer, Express or Sedan Bridge, at least I will still be boating.

I actually have driven several flybridge boats including a memorable week long charter in the San Juan Islands in an aft cabin Bayslimer. Had to be the worst hadling twin engine diesel 40' boat I have seen.

We are in no hurry so we will find something. Plenty to choose from here on the left coast.

There are a couple of sweet 400DB's at Willow Berm for sale. There is one in particular that is a 2000 model with diesels and has been mantained wonderfully and shows better than new. Name is Nordic Strummer...
