Heading to Sheboygan for a few days... any CSR folks up there?

Hoping to spend a day at Blue Harbor, and check out the town...

We usually spend an extended weekend for the whole family at Blue Harbor in the winter months and is enjoyed by all - big kids and little kids alike. The water park is on the smaller side, but easily enjoyed by all. The shops along the river provide for a nice walk and the marina is very nice. There are also plenty of good restaurants within walking distance of both Blue Harbor and the marina.

Are you driving up or taking the boat? If going by boat, thinking of a stop in Racine? We will be at the boat all weekend - stop by!
Enjoy.

A quick trip report on our Sheboygan trip...

In a word: Excellent.

The ride up from Kenosha, WI to Sheboygan, WI was flawless. Near dead calm water, cruised at 24-26 knots ... no bumps, or anything. Got the autopilot and chartplotter talking, and had a great cruise. The port itself was great... we stayed at the Harbor Center Marina. Great place. Clean. Almost as many TV channels as we have at home - and the internet was solid. The marina water is damn murky though. The river too. But zip around the breakwall on your dingy, and BAM, an awesome clean beach. Sand bottom, shallow for easily 100 or so feet off the beach.

The river had a TON of restaurants, and the city was easily walkable. (check Lino and Il Ritrovo - skip Field to Fork - overpriced for the quality.... sorry Sheboygan, you aren't Chicago, you can't get away with crappy trendy)

Blue Harbor water park on our first day, got there after 3p, $10 a person. About what it's worth, imho, small water park. Our 8 year old was about done in 3-4 hours...

The ride home, even CALMER, no waves until we got closer to Kenosha, and a little chop. Still, a great run home. Smooth as you can get.

Great trip. Would definitely do again!
