she is wearin' me out...

I would gladly trade you pillows for my kids misfit toys. My wife is always bringing down toys/swimming stuff and stuff she no longer wants at the house... And I only have a 300DA!

If you need flippers, goggles, or any kind of floating device from animals to strawberry shortcake floaties to every noodle color ever made, feel free to come by and help yourself! This also goes for princess make up kits, old remote control toys and non-current childrens books.

hey there my friend, BEEN THERE DONE THAT one!!! couple times actually. if i never see that stupid purple dinosaur again i"ll be a happy guy. purple towels, little hats w/ matching sunglasses, cups, plates, floaty arm things, blow up pools, blankets (and matching pillows of course...wait...i see a pattern), ...the whole boat was damn near purple. then my son came along and we turned into noahs ark...he had every lion king animal on the show, even the ones with non-speaking parts.

ok, maybe 29 pillows isnt so bad afterall.

btw, mentioned the bikini pillow fight thing to my wife last night...got the usual "you're an idiot" look. welcome to my world.

Pillows! Arrrrrrrrg! We recently re-did the interior of our 270. Let wife pick fabric, etc., and of course she also wanted custom matching pillows. 10 of them. Ten pillows on a 270 must be like a hundred or maybe a thousand on a 480. And then, she wanted me to post a picture of her handiwork on the CSR board so that the boyz could see her great work. Like an idiot, I did and immediately got hammered. Pillows! Arrrrrrg! But, it's okay, if she is happy, that's good enough. Who cares about the pillows anyway?

Dang it!! my wife busted me looking at the pg pics... She hit me up side the head and said"$#$$@#$" I can't post what she said!
but I did ask for a bigger boat:huh:

my wife thinks your very sweet

At least you've got the size boat necessary for a Pillow Farm. And besides, with all that buoyancy, you have no need to fear sinking...

....maybe pillows are like Tribbles...

Hey Searay40dad, if you do the math I'm right there with you in "pillows per foot". The admiral has 18 on our 270!

Do bed pillows count or just the decorative ones? All total, I got 15 on my 290. Admiral has two small rectangular ones made from a striped Sunbrella fabric that she keeps then on the cockpit lounger. Great prop for taking a nap or reading.

Yeah, I was including the ones for sleeping also. If he is only counting decorative ones, then he is indeed excessively pillowed!

Four pages of pillow talk!? Really?

I like the pillows. One of the other brands of boats we priced didn't have them as a standard feature, so we selected it. A new boat cost a nice pile of cash. Why not make it look like decent?

When I had the Coast Guard do a safety inspection - they told my wife she was in violation of federal law - we had too many plates on the boat. You should have seen the look on my wife's face when the CG said that to her. I can't imagine who suggested that violation :-> I am sure there are rules on pillows as well.

- Alls' fair - You get the ride, she gets the pillows. I would be careful, buddy.
- Good Lord man, you own a 48 footer with twin Cat's. Let her have her pillows, If she feels good on board your boating life will be much happier.
- Happy wife ... happy life.
- All I can say is "fight the battles you can win and ignore the others, lif is too short".

+1

If momma's not happy....

We have pillows all over my house ... I stopped fighting that battle long ago.

I don't have anything close to a 48, but in my opinion, my wife brings WAY too much for a day of boating on our boat. It makes her happy and comfortable to bring it and in turn she has a good day.

pillows...I've never seen so many @#&!!% pillows on a boat in my life. when we picked our boat up a few weeks ago, my crew counted 32 pillows on the boat. i'm not kidding either. master AND guest stateroom EACH had 2 full length body pillows, 3 reg pillows, and 3 decorator pillows for pretty-ness. the 3rd stateroom had 4 throw pillows for EACH twin bunk. Dinette had one pillow for each seat. and the couch, 3 pillows at each end. T-h-i-r-t-y T-w-o pillows. thats nearly 1/3 of a hundred.

I'm taking all this grief from my boating friends (foo-foo this, foo-foo that; pillow-boy; USS pillow; "you'd gain 4 mph if you'd get rid of 20-25 of those pillows"; ...that sort of thing), so, I ask my wife if she could maybe do something about the pillow extravagance. so, last weekend she takes 11 pillows home and I'm likin' it. ~33% decline in pillows.

Loaded up the SUV last night, we're taking back 8. of course they are alot "prettier" now. at least I'm under 30 now. women.

We almost had a casualty Saturday night, heading back north in full darkness on Lake Michigan, the Admiral knocks out one of her cockpit pillows. It had to be saved! Oh well, it was a great man overboard rescue practice operation. LOL
