Has anyone had any experience in replacing their mechanical sending unit with one by "SSI Technology"? This sending is compatiable(34-250 ohms) with SR analog fuel gauges. There is no moving parts and uses ultrasound waves.

you need to run additional wire from your engine ignition system to sender (purple wire)

Why the additional wire? The sending unit is a two wire unit that goes straight to you gauges.

not sure about your 2 wire unit but I think that unit will require power to work, not like "regular" fuel senders which act like resistors
but I may be wrong
