Sediment in the water filter

First season, found some well, a lot of sediment, sand looking stuff in the screen just prior to the water pump. I cleaned this bad boy at least four times and still have sediment accumulating after flowing It. Is there a quick fix? I am not going to be drinking this water but I don't want it logging up the filter all the time. Why I am at it it there an inspection port to the water tank? And why can't I correctthe errors when using th iPad........ughhhh I hate Monday's.
