I have found a small water leak coming from the center panel of glass on the front windows of my 400DB. From the outside there is caulking around frame to seal it to the fiberglass, and then clear (silicone?) caulking joining the glass panel to the frame. This clear caulking is covered by a black foam strip which I think is about 1"x1/2" and is adhered with two sided tape. I would like to pull all of the foam off, reseal with silicone, and re-caulk the frame to teh fiberglass. Has anyone ever done this? Where did you get the black foam? The SR dealer seems baffled. I also inquired about the black foam around the side sliding windows and it seems that there is a rubber replacement... I just don't know the part number. Any help would be great.

The same thing happened to my center window. I pulled off the gasket and inspected the window to determine if it had to be removed or not. The window looked like it was sealed to the frame well enough so I didn't remove it. I cleaned the frame on the outside of the glass using a small wire brush and alcohol. The frame has a channel that the gasket fits into. I cleaned the gasket and determined that it was in good shape so I taped off the widow and frame, then used black marine silicone (non structural) and re-installed the gasket. It worked and i haven't had a leak since. That was about 8 months ago. I don't remember seeing any double sided tape or foam although that could have been on the inside of the window.
