securing seat pedastal

I had to rebuild the seat pedastal on my 89 Amberjack. They are the back to back seat that fold down flat. There are three boards mounted to the floor but I don't see how the pedestal was ever secured. It doesn't look like the seat pedastal was screwed into the boards.
