Last week, I lost communication between my two displays (Raytheon RL80CRC and L760). Turns out the HSB cable had simply fallen out of the back of the RL. I reconnected it and tried to secure it better with a wire tie to another cable coming from the back of the display unit.

This week, while returning home from a trip, I kept getting an HSB lost alarm and suspect that the cable is loose again.

Any suggestions on how to keep these connections tight? It appears to simply be a friction fit.

Bump.....

Anyone have to deal with loose wires in their electronics (circa 2001 vintage Raytheon, Raymarine)????

I did have issues with some raymarine cables on a 2001 Regal. My solution (when the builder and manufacturer gave up) was to use a small amount of silicone at the hub once the cable was inserted into the socket. Worked great for the remaining 2 years that I owned that thing.
