Second battery install ?

Hello everyone,
Just bought a 2001 215 express cruiser. Took it out for the first time Sunday and absolutely love it. I am looking to add a second battery and change the battery switch. I found a switch that fits without drilling new holes. My question is am I safe to drill directly aft of the current battery position? I tried to attach a photo with no luck.

i have the dual battery set up on my 215EC....the battery selector switch is located under the starboard side rear jump seat on the removable panel.....

I added a second battery and a Yandina combiner and replaced the old original off/on switch with an off/on/combined 5511 switch in the same location as the old switch. The new system works AWESOME and is highly recommended.

Thanks. I ended up adding a Perko switch and a second battery. Luckily the switch was the same size as the stock switch.
