Searching for a Mercruiser Horizon Head

Can someone with a little patience and some mechanical knowledge help out, please? I must replace at least one head in 2000 340 DA. The engines are the Mercruiser Horizon 454's. I am trying to search for a used head for the engine, but I don't know exactly what I'm searching for. Is it simply a 454 long block marine head for a fuel injected engine? Thanks in advance

Pretty sure you have an "L-29" 7.4l engine. GM made two heads for that block. The small port version was for the 310 hp 7.4. The large port version was for the 380 hp 7.4 L. You therefore need to find a 7.4 L head that has the large rectangular ports not the small oval ones. There was also a large rectangular port head for the 502, which has a siamesed block and I would assume has a different bore. Therefore be careful you don't get a head for a 502 (8.2L)

I don't think that head will be an easy find. I doubt that it was used in trucks.
