1995 SeaRay Laguna closed deck

2X Mercury 150 hp O/B
Hello everyone
I have just imported a 1995 Laguna closed deck into Brunei in Asia,I have been trying to find a boat manual for it online.
There are no SeaRay agents anywhere near me and when I send emails in nearby countries I get no reply.
I mainly need the wiring diagram for the boat for a twin engine O/B with three batteries, as the layout does not seem the way it should be in my mind
and the Electrical experience on Aircraft that I have .
Thanks for your time
Peter

Thanks Mick
Tried there already sent an email to SeaRay no reply ,is there a Searay boat that has a similiar wiring setup I can use .

spycatcher69....

You have now heard from Sea Ray. Not only am I familiar with the 24 Laguna Flush Deck, I actually had the pleasure of building that boat in 1995. Ask away and I will answer all your questions. I would like to know the HIN if possible so that we can talk about your specific boat and not all the other 24's...I have stood in your boat while it was built.

You have a great boat !

Sorry don't have anything of use to offer. I have a 24 1994 Laguna and I don't understand the thought process that was used when wiring mine. I will be watching this thread.

Thanks for your reply
Mainly like to get a manual or at least a wiring diagram for the boat, its a bit of a rats behind the instrument panel and would like to clean it up a bit, also some I am not sure what some electrical components purpose is,want to know my boat like i know aircraft..
another thing is the boat has three batteries and two switches, the port battery has a off and on only ,the starboard and house batteries are connected
to a 1,2,both off switch. The negative terminal on the stbd and house battery are connected together but not to the port battery, this seems a bit strange to me I thought as I thought all the neg should be connected together. Is is a standard searay fit or has it been modified.

My concern is that both the regulators where shot on one of the engines and maybe this floating earth could be responsible.
Thanks for your time
Peter

Is the port battery just for the electronics? I only have a port and a starboard battery. They are each connected to an on off switch. There is a relay that ties them together for emergency starts. Not a good design because you run a battery low while fishing with electronics on and engines off. I too would like to see how yours is wired.
A 1/2both switch attached to both engines and a third battery for the electronics tied into the charging circuit sounds like a good way to go. Then again I'm not an electrical engineer.

Hull number of my boat "SERF4180H995" .
I just found out the battery I thought was the house battery is only connected to the winch.
So now i am not sure which battery is the house battery.
There is also a gold unit looks like a rectifier or power supply on the Stbd side near the battery switch not sure what it is.
Thanks for your help
Peter
