Searay 440 eb 1995

Currently looking at a 440 eb 1995. Super clean boat . Port motor original at 1600 hours star motor replaced in 2012 with 600 hours on cummins 6bta 300hp... are these motors to small? I don't mind going alittle slower not to push them but I do mind cruising at 16knts if I want to get somwhere.. what kind of fuel consumption will I b looking at. I have a survey set up for next Monday but I'm second guessing the 300hp ...

Have the hull checked for moisture, especially around hatches and engine room vents.

The Cummins engines are good, and would be my choice.

Our dealer stopped ordering the 44EB with 6BTA Cummins because they were poor performers, and were overloaded in that boat. When the 45EB came out with 6CTA's , they sold a bunch of them........
