We recently purchased a 280 Sundancer that's been lift stored (hull in very good shape) and want to keep it that way. My question is, if I want to do the periodic washing & waxing/sealing myself (not just the every day cleaning/rinsing) - is it possible to do it on the lift? Or does it need to be taken out of the water an worked on? The lift is at a dock that goes around 3 sides of the boat.

Thanks.

Well I can tell you after spending 2 days compounding and waxing mine. I would definetly want on the hard to get it done properly…. and get someone else to do it

You can do the topsides on a lift but not worth the pain to the sides

That looks like it would be a loooong reach to get wax on the sides of the hull. I would suggest putting her on a trailer where you can just walk up to it.

When you get done with yours I have another you can tackle

Thanks for the feedback! It's pretty much what I was anticipating.

I pull mine for the detailer, but i wet slip. The captains walk is better than my side on dock

If you can reach it, you can do It. It will all depend on your access and what needs to be done.
