I am considering the SeaLift for my new 36 DB. Anyone with any experience with either the cradle or platform configuration? I am in the mid-Atlantic, anyone considering getting one/maybe we can get a better deal on two vs one?

There are 3 things you need to look into if you want to put a hydraulic lift on your 36 DB.
First, a lift is not just bolt-on item and you need to check with Sea Ray to see if the transom structure can handle it. Putting a lift on may void your hull warranty.
Second, if your 36 DB has a stern thruster, it is going to be in the way of how the Sea Lift mounts on the transom.
And finally, you really need to see if plopping 800-1000 pounds of lift+dinghy extended off the stern will affect the performance and handling of a 36 DB. Hydraulic lifts usually don't get put on boats until they are over 40 feet...

One of the things that I think give this lift an advantage is that either option is rather light (250 lbs) plus the 220 lbs for my dink and o/b. Checked with Sea Ray, they said transom would support it.

Interesting story...First, though we closed on our new boat today. 320 is a goner and the 36 DB is awaiting delivery in 60 long cold days.
Was going to do the new platform Sea Lift in the deal. Sea Ray informed the dealer to tell me that if I moved forward with the Sea Lift install it would void the hull warranty. Something to think about....when doing aftermarket stuff like platforms and dink davits to a new boat. Needless to say we are not adding the platform, added an autopilot and an icemaker and called it a day.
Either way we are very happy with an awesome deal, on a great boat.

I hada great deal on my boat till I added stuff AFTER THE deal closed. Rape was a word that came to mind. BECAREFUL.... ENJOY THE BOAT ... If the boats being made request pictures of assmebly!!!
