I have slow drips in one of my deck hatches and in 2 of the port side portlights (portholes). I want to reseal these port side portholes and the (glass) hatch on the deck of my 340 Sundancer.

What is the best sealant to use for this repair/reseal????

Have you tried tightening the screws inside the latch handles in these areas? I tighten mine once or twice a year to ensure I get a good seal.

If they are actually leaking around the hatch the process to re-bed is pretty involved from what I've read. I don't think you can properly re-bed this items without first fully removing them.

Last thought - rot in the foredeck areas around the hatches (and your windlass) is very common in this vintage 340. If this leak is new you'll want to get after it quickly.

I have done my deck hatches with butyl tape and then re-did them with 3M 4200 as they still leaked with the tape. Completely remove the hatch clean surfaces, I used painter's blue tape for a quicker clean-up around the perimeter of the hatch...

4200 is the sealant of choice for this type of job. We redid all of ours on the Tiara with that product. The boat was built with that as the sealant as well.

Plus 1 on sealing the hatch frame to the deck with 4200. Used it on my hatches 9 years ago and has held up.
For the hatch glass to hatch frame I used 3m super fast window weld. Make sure the glass is properly positioned side to side and depth wise.
