Looking for comments on SeaDek. Primarily, how does it hold up. Anyone have it installed for a few years or more? Seems like a reasonably priced option. It looks great new, gonna do entire cockpit and platform. Thoughts?

I installed it on the swim platform of our 340 Sundancer in about 1 hr, and loved it for 2 seasons until we sold the boat. Comfy on the feet and looks great. After 2 seasons out in the elements it still looked and felt great. I will put it on our new boat this spring.

I have it on the platform and walk way. Nice to sit / walk on, looks good, cleans easily. Only complaint is it can get marked up fairly easily by sharp edge objects. A kneeboard put a small scar on mine that bugs the heck out of me. Not sure anyone else notices it, but I obsess over it now.

Take a look at Aqua Trac from Ttcustommarine.com. Very close to the same product except it has a layer of PVC in it making it more durable. I put the teak over black on my swim platform and walk through last year and love it. Install took less than an hour. The owner, Travis, is great to work with.

LOVE IT LOVE IT After 3yrs swim deck......

I have 1yr on our flybridge steps and gunnel steps. Works great. Friend has on his Amin platform 3+ years and looks new. We also boat year round, so a lot of time in the sun.

I did the entire deck last year. Almost $4000. I did it myself. We love it! I keep extra samples on the boat to give out because so many people comment on it. There are pictures here somewhere. Can't say anything bad about it!

Loved our Sea-Dek on our old 320!

Finally replacing the seadek on my swim platform after 4+ years. The seadek on the covered deck still looks like new after 4+ years, so being exposed to sunlight/outside elements constantly lessens the life from what I have experienced.

With that said... love the product, and will always have seadek on my boat!

I just ordered the template kit to do my boat since they did not have my model on file. IMO they should credit the money you spend on the template towards your purchase....oh well $42 for the template

They do (or did) credit me for the template materials when I did mine last year.

well thats good news.... even tho $42 is just a drop in the bucket for what its gonna cost..lol

I'm pretty sure they do credit you. They did for me 3 years ago. It still looks good on my swim platform 3 years later. Faux Teak and Black.

You weren't kidding about Travis. I read your post, went to his site and submitted an inquiry about samples. (I had to pay to get Seadek samples) He replied immediately and said the samples on are the way! I'm eager to see them.

They are just good people and have a great product! You will not be disappointed. Another neat feature about the Aqua Trac is if you get a stain on it, you can take some 220 grit sandpaper and remove it. I had both the SeaDek and Aqua Trac samples and it seems a little firmer than the SeaDek, but is not slick at all when it is wet. If we were not looking to move up in the next few years, I would do the entire cockpit....
