Sea water pump rebuild

Good morning all, '06 260 DA with 6.2 , BIII. Just replaced he sea water water pump because of a leak around the pulley shaft, no big deal. Question ; anyone know of a place to send the used pump for a rebuild ? I'd like to have the used pump for a spare . Thanks in advance,,,,

It's not a big job to do yourself. I don't think it would pay to have someone rebuild it. When the time comes again buy a Hardin pump and those are worth rebuilding.

I listed my old pumps on EBay, they sold quick to folks who rebuild them. FYI if you are looking to recoup some of your costs.

Thanks, not being nosy, but how much did you get for them ? I actually have 2 used ones ,,,,

It's been a while but if I remember correctly 20 or $30. I even sold a broken used fuel pump once.
