Went to change the Lenz filter for the Hydraulic steering and upon loosening the filter notice the fluid was definitely under pressure as it flowed out very quickly upon removal. Pre-filled the new filter and put it on. Started the engines and turned the wheel hard each way several times. Fluid level in the reservoir now at the minimum level so I added so it was midway between the maximum and minimum. Started engines again and turned the wheel hard each way about 10 times and everything seems fine, steering is smooth without any rough spots but looking for some expert advice. Does the system still need to be purged of possible air? There is an pressure gage on the reservoir. Should that be pressurized?
