Hello All
I bought my first Sea Ray (260 Sundancer) mid season last year. After some (surprise) work on the engine, I had an awesome late season with trips to eastern shore, Tangier Island, Saint Michaels and several local hangouts (mostly First Landing Park and bayside beaches). Though I keep the boat at my home in Broad Bay, I also joined the Water Ways club at Marina Shores and enjoy spending the weekend there once a month.
I've been checking into this forum since buying my boat, but haven't seen much specific to VB and Hampton Roads area. I'd like to meet others in the area to share cruising information and general boating resources. Though I'm planning a wedding in October, I'm looking forward to a full boating season (one more coat of wax and she gets launched this weekend).
Looking forward to meeting/corresponding with some local SR owners.

Welcome to SeaRay. We keep our SeaRay 280 at Lynnhaven Marina. Name of our boat is
Soggy Dollars. Love to hang out at the Narrows, cruising up to Waterside or Blue Water Marina (Surf Rider) and Hampton Tiki Bar. New restaurant Bouy 44 just opened near Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. Bouy 44 looks like a great place to hang out when the water temp warms up.

Hey av8ingtom
Good to hear from a fellow Sea Ray in VB. I keep my boat at my condo in Broad Bay, but also belong to the Water Ways club at Marina Shores and spend a weekend there each month when I can. Otherwise frequent the Narrows as well as restaurants you mentioned. Made a few trips last fall to Tangier, St. Michaels and Cape Henry. Bought my 260 last July and, though I had a mechanical survey done, have had some serious bad luck. Had the boat at Airtime most of August and September for major work on engine. Launched in April and now have a low oil pressure problem at idle and am told by Max King (Airtime now out of business) that the engine needs to be pulled again to replace oil pump (best case). If I ever get back on the water, I'll keep an eye out for you.

Sorry to hear about your oil pump. Hopefully they can get you repaired and back in the water soon. Please keep us up to date on the repairs.
