Sea Ray windshield vent actuator cover

It might seem like a little thing, but my vent actuator is rusted. It still works fine. I remember seeing a cover on another boat I was on, but I don't see any place to order a cover.

How would you solve this issue?

You're going to need to provide some details of what boat you've got, and some pics of the actuator would be great

Make one. If it is what I am thinking of, mine has a canvas cover on it, could be made very easily by an upholsterer

Ditto. Mine is made from the same Sunbrella fabric as the camper covers.

Yep, probably an easy thing to make. I just figured it was a standard item and wouldn't have to do it custom.

The boat is a '97 400DA.

I'll take a picture today.

Mine is also Sunbrealla and it was part of the original canvas package for the boat.

Mine is sunbrella too but, its beige & my canvas is green/teal.

I kind of remember seeing a plastic cover on another boat. I'd like to find a part number or something to cover it.

A simple fabric sleeve with snaps or Velcro works great. Ours is white and blends nicely into the white dash.

Mine is sunbrella with a velcro closure at the bottom as well.

It's not the best picture, but it gives you an idea.

OK, slightly off thread but not really.... I was having trouble with my windshield going up but not coming down, so I went to Fisheries supply here in Seattle and for $8 bucks bought a new switch. It has been working like a champ ever since.

Then when I mentioned that it's a universal part among SR boats, I got this response...

"I am sorry but we never patterned boats larger than a 340."

Just an FYI... I guess they don't want to do larger boats? :huh:

Mine is Sunbrella. It came with the boat. I can bring mine off my 330 to my canvas lady and see if she can dupe it for you if you would like. She will shoot an estimate first so you can decide. I don't know if it's the same motor (size) or if the distance from the windscreen to the actuator is the same. but that can be compensated for.
