Has anyone updated their Sea Ray Logo’s to give a more modern look? I am thinking about doing something like this.. Top line stripe color would be two black lines, identical size/length as the originals. The water line would also be copied in black. My canopy is also black.

I'd be worried about the shadow of the original logo on the gelcoat. Every time I see a boat with the decals removed, I can always still read the model off it due to the fading of the exposed gelcoat vs. the area that had the decal.

Everything would be overplayed exactly except the old Sundancer. The new updated Sundancer logo should hide that fairly well.

A little wet sanding and compound will get rid of 95% of it. I just changed the black and gold boot (waterline) stripes to a metallic black and silver as I also have a black top. They look 100% better. As for the logo, I just ordered replacement "domed" letters that look OEM. I too looked at the polished lettering, but went back OEM.

I ordered new Sea Ray decals that were 100% identical to the original, including the model numbers and it made the boat pop especially after a good buff and wax. I removed the topside striping as they are a pain in the ass to buff and wax around. I’ve been very happy with the results. Boot stripes need redoing but waiting to pull the boat

FYI page 1 of that thread shows the emblems. Page 2 shows the lettering and new script emblems...

Do you have any pictures?? Sounds like it exact what I want.

Search on eBay for sea ray logos, decals. I found several vendors and one did a “custom” job for me. The had the fonts, I just had to measure the original.

I’ll be you find this style here as well.

stripes are from previous owner, I need to do something with them (remove or replace. 2 individual stripes, I took a measurement at one point to order replacements... edit, found the pic to show spacing

I think the stripes look good. What colors, or how are you wanting them replaced?

Normally, the OEM stripes are 3.5” on the bottom, a .75” gap, then a .75” stripe on top. They make both stripes as one so easier to apply. I bought 2-50’ rolls from Hull Stripes for $250 and they were perfect.
