My favorite print magazine - probably the only one I go cover to cover on every month.

Haven't sat down to read the full article yet - quick skim. Very nice.

Wondering about some of the photos on the inside spread, was the person on the fly bridge posing at the helm - while the boat was operated from the lower helm?

The cover photo which shows both boats underway - that's a lot of $$$ on plane at close quarters.

Yep, I race to the mailbox like an excited child to retrieve my P&MY. I'm a dreamer I guess.

I've been on the newer Sea Rays at boat shows and while I'm very impressed with the interior spaces, I haven't been able to wrap my head around the exterior styling.

I haven't been able to wrap my head around the price tag! :smt100

My issue of the magazine came today, too.

They remind me a lot of large Sundancers, and since I own one I think that looks nice.

That being said, $2 million for the L560? That kind of money will buy you a lot of boats, boats that in my opinion are a lot more interesting. Hinckley, Marlowe, Riva, and so on.

No insult to any new modern sea ray owners, they are works of euro art, but I am not a fan of the new look. I want a boat to look like a boat - nice smooth rounded lines, no hard angles, regular sized port holes, a level bow, or facing up, but not kinda curved down, etc.

I like Marlow, Fleming, Nordhavn, Kadey Krogen, etc. I guess I am destined to buy an older trawler, hopefully an express trawler, not sure I can handle 8 knts WOT.

One of the great features that I loved of the older SeaRays was the flair built into them to deflect water. I have always appreciated some carolina flair. These pictures look to lose that ability to shed water but I have not been on one it the slop. Does anyone know if they are a wet or dry ride?

The review (and it wasn't much of a review, IMHO) did say at the end that when doing some tight turns into its wake, that the boat was a dry ride.

Marcus...

That's your main man at the helm on the cover and page 52...yes, there may be a little photo work done here for some clarity but, we are that close...probably because these beast are so easy to operate. Your assumption is right coach.

I hear what your saying...from someone who has driven SR's for years upon years, but also notice how much beefier and taller these new models are....handle slop (I've been in 10-15 footers in the Gulf Stream) as well as any before. And of course with Seakeeper stabilizers, they handle even better than before.

It was a gorgeous day off of Captiva Island that morning...wanna come with next time?

Working in technology I've always been a fan of this statement from Henry Ford "“If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses.” I wonder if 20 years from now we'll look back on these new models and refer to them as "classics". I can't say I'm crazy over the styling either but with all the new amenities I think they would grow on me.

YES+++

I'll be down in Orlando in May Capt. Rusty for a week. I can get to either coast, what's on your calendar! LOL

Looks like a fun day, and I agree PMY is about the only boating mag that interests me anymore. I enjoy it, reminds me of what Boating and Motor Boating & Sailing used to be. I think I'm showing my age...

I would love to come with next time. I have been on a 60 footer that washes the fly bridge and our 480 just blows the water away. Thanks for the feedback Rusty it's good to here about the seakeeping ability.

Boating in the Midwest, I'm not crazy about being inside. I consider boating an outside activity. I'm also rarely not in a swimsuit on our 450 so the level of finish is a bit too chic for me.

Rusty, My wife and I would love too!!!
