So after 5 years, it looks like my Sea Ray Navigator is acting up. I was at the boat yesterday and received a GPS OFF message on my Sea Ray Navigator. I am thinking that my GPS receiver has stopped functioning.

Anyone know where I can buy a new one.? Also, any suggestions as to how I can determine if in fact it is the GPS Receiver thats causing this error.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Contact Wytan Marine Electronics (303) 215 - 0902. I had I similar problem with my S1 Navigator and they repaired it fast. When I initially called them the technician was able to walk me through a few diagnostic tests that confirmed it was not the antenna and it was the GPS receiver. Good luck

Checked all the cables and found nothing.
I toggled the Electronics switch and guess what.......everything is working.
I guess it just needed a reboot. I had my electronics switched on all summer becuase the battery is dead on the mother board.

I have GPS off as well. I turned off all powers incuding the black box. No luck... still GPS is off. Any recommendations would be greatly appriciated.

reinstalled the softwear version 3.5.1 upgrade sent by Maptech few years ago. Everything including GPS back to full function. Turned off the unit and returned a week later. I am getting GPS off again.
I guess there is a battery back up on the mother board need to be replaced. A this time I am not willing to spend few thousand dollar on a unit that is almost 10 years old.
I wonder if I just open the unit to see if there is a battery in it to be replaced??????????

Reinstall the softwarre and try leaving the "electonics" switch on when you leave the boat. It will keep power to the unit and may work around the dead battery issue.

Well, it is just not worth taking chance with 9 year old unit. Replaced with raymarine e series. All the units talk to each other now. Sooooo what do I do with the SEARAY navigator now?????
