Hi there Slurpen,
I am facing the same issue on my 290 SD, 1996. I havent been very successful finding examples of someone doing this. ITs a bit of a surprise I'd say given how many sea rays there are in Sweden (where we all anchor with the bow towards the dock.. where all docks are made for anchoring with the bow first).
If you do find some examples or managed to work out the kinks yourself, please do share with me/us.

Slurpen,

Can you post pictures of your moorage spot and of the stern portion of your boat. We had an '80 260 and if I'm not mistaken there was quite a bit of room in the area just forward of the upper part of the transom. I don't completely understand how you will use a windlass from the stern and I'm hoping pictures will help to generate some ideas for you guys. Occasionally we do tie our sterns off to trees when we're anchored close to shore but I think a windlass in an application like that would put unnecessary stress on everything.
