Was in Greenport, NY this weekend and saw a 310 Sundancer with a fold up umbrella that the guy said was made by sea ray? He was not very helpful other than to say it was a $1000.00 option.

Is anyone familar with this umbrella? It was folded up so I did not get to see it in action but looked like just what I have been searching for. Googled just about every term I can think of buy can't even find a picture.

I finnaly found a pic. Is this sea ray specific or does anyone know where I can get one?

I don't think it looks that bad. Anyone have one?

Looks like it would provide some nice shade and would be easy to take down and stow away when not needed. Nice alternative to a camper top. I haven't seen one before.

It would be great for the bow of a bow rider or a sun deck. Heck, even my rear seat with the bimini up is exposed. This would be great.

I ordered on today for my 340 DA and ordered the rail mount so it will sit on my handrail on my transom storage box. The guy who worked there was awesome and super helpfull. I was going to go with the rod holder mount but he talked me out of it. We then went to the searay site all while on the phone together and found a better place to mount it. If it works out well I will install a mount for it permanantly. If it arrives on time this company gets a A+ rating from me.

It look funny somehow, but you are right. It would be great on the bow sunpad!

Please post some pictures when you get it installed.

Can you share with us how much this costs? Who did you order this from?

Sea Ray dealers offers our Original Pro Plus Ultimate, featuring Arctic White powder coated aluminum frames and Black and Marine Midnight Sunbrella fabric, along with our Rod Holder Mount.

This was on their website so this is probably why the guy told you it was a SeaRay option. It looks like they do not have the Black Sunbrella as a color option from Pro-Techt.

I have seen these on a boat anchored out once. Intially it looked a little strange but sure looks like it could be quite functional on a super sunny day to cover the cockpit u-lounge area of the boat. Not a bad price either for the Sunbrella one... ~$275 with the mount. Did you get the smaller rail mount? Can you keep the rail mount attached? I don't think my canvas would fit if I did that on my transom rail... Interesting. Like to see a pic of it on your boat!!

Thanks!!

When I kept mt boat at a marina I would get hammered with the sun every afternoon. My slip/boat faced east. A new boater joined the marina and rigged a regular beach umbrella to the back of his boat using bungie cords. It was a good solution. I bought one and did the same thing. Not as sophisticated as the one pictured, but it only cost me about $40.

Have one on my 310 and love it. I thought it was stupid looking at first, but use it all the time.

On our boat, it seems the shade moves quite a bit as the boat swings at anchor. Does this provide a large enough shade area to compensate for that?

For those that are considering the Mantis, WM is offering a 30% discount and free shipping. They only have two colors - blue and charcoal - with the aluminum frame.

I was going to order direct from Pro Techt and get the white frame with the same Sunbrella color as my shade. However, with the discount, free shipping, and some WM points, I only paid $54!

Because of my layout, I can not add a rear bimini. I hope this works out well.

What size rail mount did he say to go with? I assume the small would be big enough any of the rails on the boat? Also, did you go with the solid or mesh?
