Sea Ray brings back the 450DA

I dunno about this one.
SR states it's a yacht for "entertaining". Interesting niche they're targeting, not sure of the market for it though.

A single stateroom, single head, 45' yacht is going to have a very limited market. I'm really surprised they didn't even put in a guest head for the "entertaining".

What's really ridiculous is twin stern drive gas engines in a 27,000 lb. boat. Are they kidding?

They're going to have those "new" fuel efficient big blocks with aluminum heads. Remember the press release?

The beam of the current 40 DA, almost the weight of the 44 Sedan bridge (1300 lbs less), 45'5" with the swim platform , the looks of the 43 DA and equipped (or could be) with all the new technology.

Maybe if they find a way to put bigger swim platform they will renamed it to a 46 or 47 DA...

I guess it is now the new type of design and specs in boating ? I saw the new Four Winns V40 something and the new Chaparral premier (40 footer) last week and they seemed to have a similar design.

With the way Sea Ray branding is going I predict it won't be too long before they begin counting the anchor chain/rode length in the model designation.

I'm loving my 1340!

I am going to start gluing starboard to the bow and transom of my boat - I can make it at least a 40' DA...

Its more accurate. The new 45 is 45.5' The new 31 is 31'
My 330 is 35.5' I like it because when I may by the foot for whatever, it makes my answer, "33 feet," more credible.

I have not seen 2010 330DAs, but whether they change the name to 355 in 2010 or 2011, I bet the new owners will be paying more for dockage and storage than I will for the identical boat, just because of the name.

This is when you ask them to remove the name before delivery..
