Sea Ray Advertisement-Whats wrong with this picture?

And the girl on the port side is about to be picking her nose and I think there's a Honda EU2000 on the swim platform.:wow: It's all okay though. The picture was probably taken with the boat sitting on a trailer in the show room and the water was put there on a computer. Their hair isn't blowing in the wind.

That's funny! Actually I was too busy keeping the boat in a straight line to appreciate the company I was with. The PFD's were stowed in a safety bag tucked under the seats. Easily within reach if needed.

You need to re-read Scott's post. He was there driving in the live action...

There almost never is any canvas "up", in boat advertising. It looks more glamorous, to show the boat without it. Same goes for PFDs. And everyone's hair is is perfectly in place, always sunny, cold iced drinks and cheese and fruit platters on every table. Every captain, crew member, and guest appear to be having the time of their lives.

Would they sell fewer boats, if the images depicted reality? Funny thing is, we do have the time of our lives, with the reverse of the above, even throwing unfavorable weather and conditions on top of that.

You you sure they didn't strap the wright flyer to that boat. I bet the wright brothers would have tried to fly that contraption.

Both shots were taken from a chase boat, and in action.

In the shots shown in the beginning of this thread, the shot is taken from the wings of the chase boat, with one person on either wing for balance, and the subject boat running just under the wing. Formation boating so to speak.

Here's a link to the album if anyone wants to see more....

Scott,

Very cool. Thanks for the insight.

Mike

Cool link, thanx Scott. Just seemed too perfect to be true I guess. Karen wondered how they keep their hair from flyin' around. Hard to say what would have been more exciting on location:smt017; riding on the wings:wow:, or looking at the bikinis:smt089.
