I recieved an email from Sea Ray on Sea Ray Summer.

So what is wrong with this picture? Speeding across the water WHERE ARE THE PFDs? Does Sea Ray care about safety? Just asking.....

I don't recall wearing a PFD when simply cruising down the lake. Obviously children should be wearing them regardless. They probably arent really going as fast as the picture makes it look.

The girl in the back appears to be touching herself...

PFD's may save lifes but they don't sell the SeaRay life.

Nothing, as we cannot confirm if the PFD's are near or not. Mine would not be visible either as they usually are under my seat, which cannot be seen in this photo. And adults rarely wear them on a smooth cruise. Just sayin...

Only wore a pfd once when I had my 170 unless I was water skiing

Not required for adults age 13 and above (at least in my state)... besides, you can't look cool with a PFD on!

Ask Scott ferguson.........isn't he driving that boat and wasn't the photo taken on his trip to the keys photo shoot?
He is indeed in post #4, just not in the OP's picture.

Don't need PFD if they don't do anything stupid like run over a jetty while drinking. Scott is driving so don't worry they are good.

They should also be wearing helmets and mouth guards.

Any chance they have an adequate first aid kit aboard?

This thread has a winter time feel to it :smt021

I wore my PFD twice since I started boating as an adult. Once when a storm took an unexpected turn towards me and again when I was crossing Tampa Bay in choppy water alone. In Florida I Think it is 6 and under require PFDs at all times.

....perhaps steel toed shoes are also in order.

Yes, let's petition the law makers to require seat belts on all boats, too. :smt101 I see absolutely nothing wrong with the picture.
