I have searched the forums and saw some people have replaced the rubber gasket that lays on top of the window. I contacted Sea Ray and was able to get the Taylor Made part number, but my local Sea Ray dealer informed me the entire hardtop would have to be removed in order to have it replace properly. Seems pretty extreme to me.

Anyone have thoughts about this?

I think your boat has the same windshield design as my 400DB. If so, you can replace it yourself. I did it on my 400DB. Just pull the old one out and put the new one in. You'll have to get creative on seaming the corners. I just used black caulk. By the way, you can't buy direct from Taylor Made. They will make you go through a Sea Ray dealer.

Thank you for the thread as I read this one closely before. Did you have any problem getting the "cosmetic" rubber gasket back into the track? My track looks like a "C" track where the rubber gasket goes. The positive is none of the windows are leaking yet, but I figure with the shrinkage, it is a matter of time before they do.

Again it would seem odd that I would have to pull the hardtop off just to replace the "cosmetic" rubber gasket that lays on top of the glass.

I just paid attention that you are working with MY cockpit windows not the windshield. Might be a different setup. I don't have experience with that window.
