Sea Ray 450 Video Tour

350, maybe. But Sea Ray has really stretched the length on this thing, very much Pinocchio like.

I'm a bit surprised at the lousy performance numbers.
Only a 21 knot cruise- with Zeus pod drives and a light load... not adequate in today's market IMO.

Not convinced this will appeal to the mass markets......I still believe a niche design and that is not good......

Let's see. New math. 24.5 mph and 26.0 gph gives them 1.06 mpg.
24.5/26.0 = .94 mpg. So, either they meant gpm, or they're lying, or they're idiots.

Let's market our brand new, $800,000 yacht and make a 1st grade math error. They're sure to trust our engineers on these pods.

Yea, all the boats in the new lineup are that way:smt009.

Interesting choice for the three sided helm on a Sundancer, but I think I like it.

Also, am I the only one that wonders how much these ads cost Sea Ray? My gosh, its like a damn infomercial. Takes some credability away from Boating Magazine if you ask me. Their endorsment seems to be up to the highest bidder.

A 40 with diesels well equipped was about $650,000 list. The 450 similarly equipped with Zeus comes in about $920,000. We are talking a 40% increase for the same beam and essentially same living area, excluding the swim platform. Thats a lot of $$ for a one bunk; one head boat. Who will they sell it too?

I totally agree as I said in another thread...is watching TV the point in boating???
