I have test driven the 341 and liked it very much, I did like the 391 a lot better with the diesel option but a lot more money. The 341 gives you a lot of bang for the buck, handles nice easy to dock with the joystick docking, lots of room and layout very nice.

We were on a 341 at the Toronto Boat show in January - very impressed with the room and the layout Lots of well thought out features. I especially liked the way they had the A/C distributed through the head-liner. Mind you, first new SB I had been on so hard for me to say how it would compare to the others.:smt001

Dock mate last fall ;Meridian 341 had the drool cup under his chin every time he looked at the 36 SB..

Unless you plan on keeping the boat for life, check out the resale values of the Meridians and take the resale factor into your financial analysis.

Check out the sales on any boat, they have tanked. The Sea Ray dealer here still has a lot of new 2009 310's he can't sell. The Bayliner dealer stopped stocking cruisers over 24'. The Doral dealer also has a lot of stock but he did sell the 2 Meridians he had in stock a 341 and 391.

Me too! Where did you come from? I thought I had all the diesel 36DB owners mapped out in the northeast. Welcome to the club! I love your boat!

SR>Silverton>Meridian/Bayliner.

At the NY show, the price on the Silverton was surprisingly high. I'd go for a 1yo 36DB but just not sure about gas power in this boat.

For the record, Meridian and Bayliner are totally different product lines. Initially Meridian did share some Bayliner molds, but that is long gone. Today Meridians are actually manufacturered in a Sea Ray plant in FL, and according to their website, Meridian is part of the Sea Ray group.

My neighbor has the 341, and with the thrusters all my fun of watching him trying to dock his other boats is over... I hope those thrusters break soon so I get my entertainment back... I have looked at the three boats you mentioned, and I would probably go with the Meridian, but I would never buy a new one... My favorite Meridian is the 459... For what you would pay for a new 341, you can get a used 459, which, IMHO is one of the best boats on the water...

Meridian is part of the Brunswick family of boats, not the Sea Ray Group.

You are correct in your first statement and incorrect in your second statement. They are a component of the Sea Ray Group. See here....

I had to dig this one up from down south, there hiding out amongst the living and the dead dealers..

I was very lucky, I was looking at the Sea Ray 36db and the Meridian 341 last year.
The dealer had both boats side by side, 2007 Sea Ray and a 2008 Meridian.I found the sea ray was heads above the meridian in the way it was put together, (hardware ect.) But it really came down to looks and performance. IMO the sea ray won hands down.I feel the sea ray will have a better resale when the time come to move up to a bigger boat.
Both are very nice boats, you will get years of enjoyment out of witch ever one you choose.
I have been very happy with the 36db can't Wait for spring!

The Meridian 341 is wayyy underpowered. Take it out with full fuel, full water and a crew...let alone any crap you might want on the boat. Fit and finish is not as good and I think the Sea Ray performs better, looks better, is laid out better and is the better of those two boats... I am biased b/c I did years of research before buying mine. We love it.

If you run the 36 and you like to go places get the Cummins it is worth every penny when it comes to cost to operate and time it takes to get somewhere.
