Looking at subject boat. Was the coring an issue in the 1983-1987 vintage boat? How was the stability at the dock/anchor. How much rocking?? Is the hull solid fiberglass? Any issues with the transom, or trusses in the hull? Did they make any of them with straight drive vice V-drive? 17 inch the largest prop than can be used? How is visibility from the lower helm at cruise?? Thanks

Was hoping for responses as I am also looking at a couple. 87 and 89 vintage with 7.4's
No 340 EB owners out there?

I've got an 83. Can answer any questions you have.

Had an '89 for 8 seasons. Bottom of the boat is solid - any boat with the HIN starting with SERF has a solid bottom. Hull sides are cored, as is the foredeck. If the boat you're looking at has portholes (88 and 89 do NOT), look for water intrusion there. I had no problems that I was aware of.

Have a few questions for you oe any owners out there..
I'm considering an 87 with 454's. Fresh water boat with closed cooling. 1100 hours with regular maintenance for the last 15 years.
Reasonable amount of hours?
Direct drive?
engine access from the salon. How do you find access for usual maintenance.
I believe cruise is 20MPH. 2500 RPM? What kind of fuel burn are you seeing at cruise? What is max RPM.
thanks in advance for your help.
Mike
