I just boat bought a ac unit for my 98 270da sundancer which has never had ac and i am in need of help as far as where to run the condensation line to shower sump and exactly where to drill hole for duct and water line. I am preety much starting from scratch as there is no hole for anything. also how is the power wire ran to the unit and the valve mounted in bilge. i did take the panel out of the aft closet and it looks as if the duct goes inside the panel. pic would be alot of help and thanks for any info.

Wow- you're asking for several pages of info here.
First, I'd suggest you contact SR to get the necessary info on how the factory installs were done- that should address most of your questions as to "where" and "how"...

I had a 9000 Btu unit installed in the port v-berth compartment and it is a very tight fit but works. Duct work was run forward and up out by the forward bulkhead/mirror and back behind fridge and out underneath the galley sink facing mid cabin. Wires were run behind fridge to breaker panel and back to engine compartment from there. Had to use a special siphoning unit for the condensation drain as there was not enough drop in the line. Thermostat/controls were placed in overhead port storage above v-berth. Water pump, strainer, thru hull were placed in port engine compartment below fuel tank/shelf. Basically everything runs along the port side as that is where the breaker panel is. Call any marine air supplier and they can explain the siphoning unit, I think it was $100. Hope this helps.

Check the owner's manual supplement for your boat. It has wiring diagrams and electrical/hose routing diagrams. It also shows where accessories, like AC, are actually located in the boat. If you don't have it, you might find it on SR's site as a PDF file.

Been there, done that, big job. As stated above too much to explain here but let me say you need to be resourceful, careful, and smart about how you proceed. See another post on 270 AC for what I had to say about DIY.

I hooked up a Mermaid Condensator for condensation drain on my last boat rather than going to the shower sump. Drains the condensation water out with the units cooling water. worked GREAT! Can be found at http://www.firstmatescabin.com/page10.htm Very easy to
install.

I bought one of these a long time ago. It was the best money I ever spent. Great addition. You can't go wrong.
