nice to join the club and chew the fat and learn more about these boats. I purchased my 1999 260 Sundancer this Christmas. A bit of a plunge into the unknown for me. My last boat was a little alloy 15 foot bow rider. My boat was moored in Brisbane Waters, about 100 kms from my home port. Anyway the family drove up to the boat and cruised the local water ways over Christmas, beautiful up there the Hawksbury has many bays and coves to explore. Luckily the boat performed well and I was confident in bringing her down the coast a week or so latter! Fully fueled and with the boys and a mate on board we set off early to beat the wind, a lovely sea boat, she cruised the 100kms at about 18-20 knots we stopped encounter in Sydney Harbour for a coffee and toast and made it back to Port Hacking before lunch. So general fixing up of little items. The hatch and port windows were leaking, fixed these easily enough, learnt rubber grease is like lip balm to the seals. Replaced all the interior upholstry so she looks really modern and cosy down below. Imported som new canvas from the U.S. And now the cockpit can be configured dry and cosy, or open and breezy.
