Sea Ray 185 sport sun deck rust.

Hoping someone can help me figure out how to resolve a problem. New to me boat. The Sun Deck vinyl seems to have something behind the vinyl that is rusting and it's leaving a line of rust going down the fiberglass to the swim platform. I really don't want to pay someone to undo the trim on the sun deck and put it back, is there an easier route yo solve this problem?

It is probably one of the hinges where you open the engine compartment or possible some of the staples used to attached the vinyl - should be pretty easy to find it. Make sure what ever you replace, it is stainless steel so it won't start rusting again.

If it is like the 195 sport it has a back rest cusion and this gets rust running down. I found it was the bits behind the vinyl that hook the vinyl onto the hull. up out and out.
