3M rubbing compound (purple bottle), Meguiar's Flagship (3 coats), and some good old fashion elbow grease. Pictures really do not do her justice. I also installed 3 underwater LED lights from Chris at Coastal Night Lights. I am yet to wire them, but when I tested them here at home - WOW are they bright! I'll be sure to post more pictures once wired and lit up. Touched up the bottom paint and also pulled the teak inserts from the swim platform and the ladder step (3 coats of Sikkens Natural Teak + 1 coat gloss). I'm relatively happy with the outcome, although they look darker in the picture than they actually are. I was losing daylight and I don't really know what I'm doing with the camera anyways. If you look at the trim around my transom door, you can get an idea of what the before shade was like. Obviously, more to do when I get at the dock, but that's how shes going into the water tomorrow. Needless to say, a busy weekend. Did I mention that my back hurts??? :huh:

That looks very nice. Now I have to do mine now unless you would do it for me.:grin:

Great job - you have a boat to be very proud of -
Well worth all the backache
question - what are the brackets on the swim platform for?

Thanks for the comments, everyone. Makes all the backpain worth while (that's why God invented Asprin, right?).

Got her splashed today with not much trouble. Weather did not cooperate much (mid 50's and rain along with 15-20 mph winds). It didn't help matters that they were dredging the middle of the river, forcing me to steer towards the shallows. None the less, never bottomed out. Got the boat situated (bumpers hung from the posts and dock lines how I wanted them). With the rain, we have a pretty strong current, and the barges dredging make a decent wake, so I wanted to make sure everything was good and secure. Hooked up the shorepower, and monitored the bilge to make sure no fluids or excessive water from the packings were present. All appears well! Now we just need summer to actually arrive.

JEMCO: The brackets are for dinghy davits. The mating hardware pieces are not mounted (I keep them down below). They were installed by the previous owner, so I do not have much use for them at the moment. I have contemplated a tender, but my brother has a 12' Zodiac w/ a 40HP Merc that docks right behind me, so I really don't need one. Maybe next season.

Thanks again for the compliments! Much appreciated.

DK, She looks great for an old girl Awesome shine on the hull. I just finished wet sanding my entire boat with 1500 and 2000 grit. Started the buffing today. It is really going to look good. Two weeks till the big splash. New stretched swim platform going on Wed.

very very nice......:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Bitchin Dude, from the west side:grin:

Thanks again everyone!

Took her out with my brother for a brief shakedown run. Running like a champ!! Cruised nicely at 2,200 - 2,500 RPMs. Pegged her all out briefly at 4,200 -WOW!!!

Also scrubbed the canvas with All Bright canvas cleaner. Prepping to re-waterproof this weekend. Only been in the water for 2 days this season, but already having a blast!!!

More updates coming this weekend!! Take care everyone.
